Saroya Royster '10 graduated from Bloomsburg University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. During her time at Bloomsburg, she help co-found the student organization, Ladies First, and became a proud member of the Rho Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Upon graduating she worked as a Program Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. While in her position there, she obtained a Master of Public Administration degree in Nonprofit Administration from West Chester University. Saroya’s professional career includes Associate Director of Support Services for Steppingstone Scholars Inc, a college access nonprofit organization. She is currently an Internship Coordinator for Simon Gratz Mastery Charter School. 

Saroya has a passion for working with youth, and believes that with the proper guidance and support, they can reach their full potential. She also founded her own organization, The Tribe Connection, which serves as a safe space and community for Black Women to receive resources and supports for their mental health and well-being. Saroya currently serves a board member for several youth serving nonprofits in Philadelphia, mentors young black women, and through her philanthropic efforts supports the work to reduce youth gun violence and help prepare young people transitioning into college.
