Tom McGuire has served as the Director of Communications/Media Relations since December 2016. From 1997 to 2016 he was BU's Director of Sports Information, Athletic Marketing and Promotions. Prior to that, he was the Sports Information Director at Wilkes University for 9 1/2 years.
McGuire is the University's chief spokesperson and also serves as co-editor of Bloomsburg: The University Magazine. The magazine's Winter 2020 issue was recognized with a bronze award from CUPRAP. In addition, the office's internal newsletter was honored with a silver award from CUPRAP. He was recognized by ECAC-SIDA with the 2014 University Division's Irving T. Marsh Award for Excellence in the Field of Sports Information. He is a 1985 graduate of Wilkes College (now University.)
