Current on-campus students who plan to live on-campus again for Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 must complete the housing and dining agreement in MyHousing Self-Service in order to be eligible to select on-campus housing during the housing selection processes.

How to select housing:

During one of the selection processes below, the person in your group who meets the most criteria first (current housing location and number of credits) must complete these steps and select housing for the group.

  1. Log into MyHousing Self-Service
  2. On the home page, scroll down to Room Selection to see the process that you are eligible to participate in. Click on Select a Room/Suite during those dates and times.
  3. The next page that opens you will see your roommate group. Click on Select from Room List for the available rooms that you can select. You will only see options with the same number of beds as roommates in your fully matched roommate group.
  4. Click on the one you want and add yourself and your roommate(s) into the bedroom in which each person wants to live.
  5. Check the Overview page to see your Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 housing assignment.

Process Details

The first student or group meeting all criteria (housing agreement, current housing location, credits earned, and fully matched roommate group in MyHousing with the exact number of roommates to fill the room, suite, or apartment) to select it in MyHousing during the process will get it. Suites and apartments are limited. If you are not able to select a suite or apartment, you can rearrange your roommate group and select a residence hall room during the residence hall selection dates.

Process overview: Students currently living in a Soltz Hall suite or a MPA, MOA, or JKA apartment can select their current housing location again for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must currently live in the suite or apartment you want for next year in order to be eligible for this process.

    • Same Soltz Hall Suite
      • Any group wishing to keep your, or your future roommate(s), same Soltz Hall suite must select their same suite on March 5, 2024.
      • In order to retain the same suite, at least one person in the group must currently live in that suite. The student currently living in the suite, must select it and place each student in the beds that you decided on beforehand.
    • Same Apartment
      • Any group wishing to keep your, or your future roommate(s), same MPA, MOA or JKA apartment must select their same apartment on March 5, 2024.
      • In order to retain the same apartment, at least one person in the group must currently live in that apartment. The student currently living in the apartment must select it and place each student in the beds that you have decided on beforehand.

    Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

    Process overview: Students currently living in a Soltz Hall suite or a MPA, MOA, or JKA apartment and have more than 59 credits can select a different suite or apartment for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must currently live a suite or apartment and have more than 59 credits in order to be eligible for this process.

    • Different Soltz Hall Suite
      • If you currently live in Soltz Hall and have more than 59 credits and would like to choose a different suite in Soltz Hall, you must select your suite on March 7, 2024.
      • The student currently living in Soltz Hall with more than 59 credits must select the suite and place each roommate in the beds that you decided on beforehand.
    • Different apartment
      • If you currently live in any on-campus apartment and have more than 59 credits and would like to choose a different MPA, MOA, or JKA Apartment, you must select your apartment on March 7, 2024.
      • The student currently living in an on-campus apartment with more than 59 credits must select the apartment and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.

    Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

    Process overview: Students currently living in a Soltz Hall suite or a MPA, MOA, or JKA apartment and have less than 60 credits can select a different suite or apartment for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must currently live a suite or apartment and have less than 60 credits in order to be eligible for this process.

    • Different Soltz Hall Suite
      • If you currently live in Soltz Hall and have less than 60 credits and would like to choose a different suite in Soltz Hall, you must select your suite on March 19, 2024.
      • The student currently living in Soltz Hall with less than 60 credits must select the suite and place each roommate in the beds that you decided on beforehand.
    • Different apartment
      • If you currently live in any on-campus apartment and have less than 60 credits and would like to choose a different MPA, MOA, or JKA Apartment, you must select your apartment on March 19, 2024.
      • The student currently living in an on-campus apartment with less than 60 credits must select the apartment and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.

    Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

    Process overview: Students currently living anywhere on campus who have more than 59 credits can select a Soltz Hall suite or MPA, MOA, or JKA apartment for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must have more than 59 credits in order to be eligible for this process.

    • Different Soltz Hall Suite
      • If you currently live anywhere on-campus and have more than 59 credits and would like to select a Soltz Hall Suite you can do so on March 21, 2024 from those available.
      • The student currently living anywhere on-campus with more than 59 credits must select the suite and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.
    • Different apartment
      • If you currently live anywhere on-campus and have more than 59 credits and would like to choose an MPA, MOA, or JKA Apartment, you must select your apartment on March 21, 2024.
      • The student currently living anywhere on-campus with more than 59 credits must select the apartment and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.

    Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

    Process overview: Students currently living anywhere on campus who have less than 60 credits can select a Soltz Hall suite or MPA, MOA, or JKA apartment for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must have less than 60 credits in order to be eligible for this process.

    • Different Soltz Hall Suite
      • If you currently live anywhere on-campus and have less than 60 credits and would like to select a Soltz Hall Suite you can do so on March 26, 2024 from those available.
      • The student currently living anywhere on-campus with less than 60 credits must select the suite and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.
    • Different apartment
      • If you currently live anywhere on-campus and have less than 60 credits and would like to choose an MPA, MOA, or JKA Apartment, you must select your apartment on March 26, 2024.
      • The student currently living anywhere on-campus with less than 60 credits must select the apartment and place each roommate in the bed you decided on beforehand.

    Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

    Process overview: Students currently living in any on-campus residence hall can select their current housing location again for the next academic year. At least one student in your roommate group must currently live in the suite or apartment you want for next year in order to be eligible for this process.

      • Same Room
        • Any group wishing to keep your, or your future roommate(s), same residence hall room must select their same room on March 28, 2024.
        • In order to retain the SAME ROOM, at least one person in the group must currently live in that room. The student currently living in the room must select the room.

      Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

      Process overview: Students currently living in any on-campus residential facility can select to reside in a single occupancy residence hall room for the next academic year.

      • Residence hall double to single
        • Any student currently living anywhere on-campus wishing to select a designated double room and buy out the second bed must select a room on April 2, 2024.
        • All furniture will remain in the room. There are limited designated rooms available for this process.

      Process overview: Students currently living in any on-campus residence hall can select a different residence hall room for the next academic year.

      • Different residence hall room
        • If you currently live anywhere on-campus and would like to choose a different residence hall room, you must select that room on April 4, 2024.

      Important: You must have a fully matched roommate group in MyHousing Self-Service to fill the room that you want.

      Process overview: If you missed a selection process or do not have enough roommates to fill the housing you want, send us the top three choices of where you want to live and we will place you in an available space; you will not know your roommates until we assign you.

      • Send Choices
        • During the last dates of the housing selection process on April 1 - 5, 2024, send your top three preferences (traditional residence hall double room, Soltz Hall suites, Montgomery Place apartments, Mt Olympus apartments, Jessica Kozloff apartments) of where you would like to live to buhouse@bloomu.edu.
          • We cannot guarantee what will be available but we will match you with a roommate(s), if you do not have one, and try to house you in one of your choices. If there is nothing available in one of your choices, you will be placed wherever there is space available.
        • Your assignment will be available in MyHousing by May 1.
