Add to Calendar 2024-04-16 19:00:00 2024-04-16 20:00:00 Communication Studies Research Colloquium The Xi Omega chapter of Lambda Pi Eta (the National Communication Honor Society) and the Department of Communication Studies is hosting its annual Research Colloquium on Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Centennial Hall, room 218. The Research Colloquium is a contest that invites students to submit research-based papers from their Communication Studies classes from the past academic year. The submissions are then reviewed anonymously by faculty in the department. Each reviewer ranks the submissions based on the quality of writing and their overall scholarly contributions, and the students with the top overall rankings are selected to present their research at the Colloquium. There will be four research presentations that include a variety of methodologies and ideological approaches at this year's Colloquium, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The author(s) of the top overall paper receive the Howard Schreier Award for Outstanding Student Scholarship, which will be announced at the end of the program.
