Ahead of the Game. Ahead of the Pack.
Challenge your body as well as your mind. Whether you're engaging in an intramural or club sport, testing yourself on our 50-foot rock wall, or getting in some cardio and weight training at the Student Recreation Center, you’ll find we have ample opportunities for all levels of fitness and athletic ability.
Behind the Andruss Library is the Rec Center. This facility provides students, faculty, staff, and alumni gym memberships. Students’ memberships are accounted for in tuition automatically. All-inclusive are the use of the indoor track, multipurpose courts, cardio and fitness equipment, racquetball courts, climbing wall, locker rooms, personal trainers, and sports equipment within the building (ie. basketballs, rackets, etc.). Also available at the Rec Center are step classes, yoga classes, aerobics, and Zumba for no additional fee.
Looking to swim, get some much needed laps in?
No worries, we got you covered at the Nelson Field House on upper campus. Home to our men's and women's swim teams, the Nelson Field House Pool also offers open swim hours for students each semester — Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wondering how to tap into that Husky competitive spirit? Well, we offer three different levels of sports to accommodate your availability and enthusiasm. Many of our on-campus intramural teams compete at the Rec Center, which also holds special events such as Relay for Life, Dodge to Donate, and other fundraising events. You'll find plenty of Club Sport action like rugby and Ultimate Frisbee on upper campus, as well as many of our popular intramural options such as flag football and co-ed softball.
