Is my company eligible to apply for a WEDnetPA grant?

It’s easy to determine if your company qualifies for funding. First, determine if you meet the following general qualifications:

Employer Qualifications

·       Your business is based in Pennsylvania or you have a significant presence in the state

·       You are NOT a point-of-sale retail business, gaming establishment, training vendor, employment agency, government agency, government-owned facility, education or other nonprofit entity

·       Regardless of company, any training that directly supports or is specifically related to the use, growth, distribution or enhancement of marijuana is not eligible

Employee Qualifications

·       Employees are residents of Pennsylvania and employed in Pennsylvania

·       Employees must earn at least $12 per hour, excluding full-time benefits

·       Employees must be in permanent, full-time positions and eligible for full-time benefits

·       All permanent, full-time employees are eligible regardless of job title or company size

Training Qualifications

Training must be skill building training for current job, advancement, or promotion.  Each training session must be a minimum of 30 minutes in length.

Company orientation and on-the-job training are not eligible for reimbursement.

Regardless of company, any training that directly supports or is specifically related to the use, growth, distribution or enhancement of marijuana is not eligible.

One application required with max reimbursement funding of $2,000 per employee and $100,000 per company total per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

It looks like my company qualifies. How do I apply for funding?

If your company and employees meet all of the qualifications listed above, then applying for WEDnetPA funding is fast and easy.

If you’re a new company who has never received funding before, your first step is to complete and submit the online Training Inquiry form. You can only apply for funding through a certified WEDnetPA Partner; you can choose your partner at the bottom of the Inquiry form. Your Partner will review your Inquiry before proceeding with the application process.

If your company has applied for and received funding in prior years, log in to ISAAC at https://isaac.wednetpa.com/. From your company dashboard, you can check your funding history and submit an inquiry for the current year.

If your Inquiry is approved for funding, you will be asked to read and sign a Memorandum of Agreement and submit a proposed Training Plan. Your WEDnetPA Partner can assist you with this process.

Once your application is approved and funded, your grant award and the invoicing and reimbursement process will be managed through an online portal called ISAAC (Information Sharing, Administration and Analysis Center).
