Dr. Strother-Garcia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Bloomsburg University, where she teaches courses on language development, child language disorders, phonetics, research methods, and psycholinguistics. She completed her Ph.D. in linguistics at the University of Delaware in 2019. Her research interests include child language acquisition (typical and atypical), model-theoretic phonology, and syllable theory. In her free time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, playing board games, and spending time with her husband and their 3 cats.
