President’s Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The President’s Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is appointed by the president and charged with examining diversity, equity and inclusion practices, recommending a vision for DEI, high-impact action steps, and assessing the implementation of those steps.
Commission Charge
The President’s Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is appointed by the president and charged with the following actions:
Examine current diversity, equity and inclusion practices at BU
Recommend to the president a vision for BU that demonstrates an institutionalized, sustainable, and enduring commitment to actualizing the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Recommend to the president high impact action steps that reflect best practices across the nation. These recommendations will comprise a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan.
Monitor and assess the implementation of the recommended action steps (i.e. the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan) in collaboration with appropriate university entities such Cabinet, Leadership Council, Forum, etc.
