Clearfield to Host Lessons in Leadership Workshop on Developing Successful Supervisors

The course will be instructed by Pamela J. Watkins, human resources and management consultant who specializes in organization design, talent acquisition, management coaching and training and development.

The April 4 session will cover understanding supervisory roles and functions; how to hire, train and evaluate staff; business ethics; fostering communications; understanding communication styles; listening for better understanding; face-to-face communication techniques; verbal, non-verbal and written communications; and delivering constructive criticism.

The April 11 session will cover building relationships; leadership self-assessment, conflict management, dealing with difficult employees, time management an effective delegation, challenges of leading people and coach, counsel and discipline.
