Start Your Climb
We want to make your transition to college life success, so let's start your climb on the right foot.
Welcome home, Husky!
We’re excited to have you join the Residence Life Community and look forward to enhancing your academic and personal goals with comfortable and enjoyable housing. Your new home is ready for you and is filled with great opportunities to meet and learn about others around you. The success and satisfaction of your living environment is all about what you make it and is a great way to start building life-long friendships.
Fall 2023 / Spring 2024 housing and roommate assignments will be available on MyHousing Self-Service beginning Saturday, July 1, 2023. Please check your assignment and contact your assigned roommate(s) to discuss living arrangements and any items you may want to share while living together.
Continue to check MyHousing between now and the start of the fall semester as we sometimes find out, after assignments are posted, that your assigned roommate will not be attending Bloomsburg University and we have matched you with a different roommate. If you don’t see a roommate assigned to you when you first check MyHousing, continue to check often. Changes could occur for various reasons, including you (or your roommate) participating in a Learning Community, joining a BU athletic team, newly admitted students, or special housing accommodations requests, which result in a move to a different residence hall, room, or roommate. Be sure to check frequently for any updates; as you will not receive notifications of any change via email or phone. Please be advised, we will not make roommate changes based on information or pictures found on social networking sites.
Apartment and Soltz Hall students, when checking your assignment on MyHousing, the bed number shown is the bedroom to which you will be given ID access.
If you no longer wish to live on-campus, it is important to submit a housing release request form so that we can release you. Please remember that if you are not attending Bloomsburg University or have decided to make other living arrangements you still must be released by this office or you will be held responsible for the cost of your on-campus housing. Please note, students who wish to live at their permanent home address to commute will be released from their housing contact only upon verification in MyHusky of your distance from your home to campus within 30 miles. Students required to live on-campus under the two-year residency requirement obligation will not be approved to live off campus. After the start of the academic year (first day of the fall semester), we will not release students to live off-campus at any time during the academic year. If you choose to live off-campus anyway, you will be responsible for the full cost of your on-campus housing assignment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at buhouse@bloomu.edu.
