Led by more than 30 full-time faculty members holding doctoral degrees from prestigious institutions — and active in various research areas, publishing articles and textbooks, while maintaining strong connections to local industry — the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics is committed to preparing graduates for rewarding careers as well as opportunities in competitive graduate schools.

Programs of Study

Applied Computer Science — work collaboratively as you design, develop, and implement software solutions, such as mobile apps, video games, and robotics software. You'll gain real-world experience by completing hands-on projects and developing a strong theoretical foundation that prepares you for a meaningful and successful career.

Computer Science — covers core areas of computer science with an emphasis on the design, analysis, and production of complex and reliable software systems.

Data Science — equips students to draw conclusions from data, using knowledge of statistical inference, computational technology, data management skills and related theories.

Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity — prepares students for careers as digital forensic specialists who can work with law enforcement, homeland security agencies, law firms and private companies.

Certificate in Digital Forensics — Earn college credits that can be applied to future academic degrees.

Mathematics and Applied Mathematics — encourages and promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and articulation of mathematical ideas.

Statistics — prepares students for careers in industry, government, and business, as well as graduate programs in statistics and other related fields.
